First, make sure you're online and relaunch the app. If Pro still shows as locked, open the paywall (Manage → add a 6th supplement, or any Pro feature) and tap Restore previous purchase. This re-checks your purchase with the App Store and unlocks Pro on any device signed into the same Apple Account. If that doesn't fix it, email us with the approximate purchase date and we'll get you sorted.
No. Protocol Pro is a one-time purchase — pay once, keep it forever. There are no recurring charges and nothing to cancel.
The free tier includes up to 5 supplements with check-offs, streaks, and 7-day history. Protocol Pro removes the limit and adds the interaction detail view, barcode scanning, automatic stock tracking, refill and daily reminders, 30-day adherence, and Apple Health sync.
Everything lives on your iPhone. Protocol has no accounts, no cloud service, no analytics, and no ads — we can't see your stack or your logs. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Not yet. Your data is included in your normal iPhone backup (iCloud or computer), so restoring your phone restores Protocol's data. Deleting the app deletes its data, and we can't recover it — so don't delete the app to "reinstall fresh" unless you mean it.
Reminders are a Pro feature. Turn on notifications in Settings inside the app, then Protocol schedules local reminders on your device: daily reminders for each time slot in your stack, and a refill alert when a supplement drops below its days-remaining threshold. Nothing is sent from a server — if your phone is off at the scheduled time, iOS delivers the notification per its normal rules.
With Pro, you can turn on Sync doses to Health in Settings. Checked-off doses are written into Apple Health as nutrition records. It's one-way (Protocol never reads your Health data) and you can revoke access anytime in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.
The scanner looks products up in Open Food Facts, a community database — niche or regional supplement brands are sometimes missing. If a product isn't found, you can add it manually or pick it from Protocol's built-in catalogue search. No camera images ever leave your phone; only the barcode number is looked up.
No. Interaction and timing notes are general educational information from published research about supplements in general — they aren't advice about you, and they don't cover prescription medicines or health conditions. Always check with a doctor or pharmacist before changing what you take. See our Terms of Use.
Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds go through Apple: visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, and request a refund for Protocol Pro. We're unable to issue App Store refunds ourselves.
In the app: Settings → Clear all data erases everything instantly. Deleting the app from your phone does the same.
